This is where you will get news on what is going on with Fish Stix Promotions and the latest updates on the website.  When the guys get back to fishing there will be a tab for fishing reports also.  Enjoy!

1-19-12 - Well 50 degree weather and fish biting was too much to resist on 1-8 and to the lake we went.  What a day.  3 guys fished 4.5 hours and we went 20 for 30.  We ended the day sitting in the Huron River with a front row seat for the implosion of the old Con Agra plant.  Was a neat site to see for sure.  Added a picture of Rick B. in the fish album.

Ashley was able to harvest her first deer this fall during youth season.  Added a picture of that also in the other activities album.

Cleveland Boat Show is going on now.  Dan was there last weekend and Matt and Dan both will be there this weekend.  We have a seminar on Saturday and then on Sunday are running a kids fishing clinic at the boat show.  Check out the show website for times.  We have 70 rods and reels to give away on Sunday to the kids attending the clinic and also a lot of other great giveaways.  Come down and join us.

The first of our 2012 boats has arrived so that will get rigged here in the next couple of weeks.  The other boat is being built right now.  We have one of these sold already but if you are interested in the other one get in touch with us and we can discuss the details.  It will be available in early fall.

1-3-12 - Sorry for going missing since the championship.  Things got crazy busy around here and since the fishing was not very good for any extended amount of time the site got neglected for a bit.  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.  We did!

Plan to get everything updated this coming weekend with our 2012 schedule and a few new pics added as well.  Again, we apologize for the lack of updates here recently but since this is not our "real" job sometimes it has to give when things get tight.

Hope 2012 brings big fish to all!!

10-16-11 - Well the end of the 2011 tournament season has arrived.  We ended up 7th at the National Championship after stinking on day 1 with one fish.  We managed to bring in a good limit on day 2 to make a big move up and day 3 we could only manage 2 fish but still held on for the top 7 finish.  We had great weather for prefishing with it being in the high 70's and low 80's every day but a cold front arrived with lots of wind just in time for the tournament to start.  We were pretty confident we could get our 5 fish the first day and our day started great with our fish coming 15 minutes after take off.  Unfortunately that was our only one of the day.  Day 2 we started at the same spot as day 1 and took 2 in the first hour.  We then hit our next two spots and pulled a fish off of each spot.  We then decided to go to our big fish hole and on the first cast hooked and landed our 6 lb fish to fill our limit out.  We worked the rest of the day to cull the 15.5 incher we had but were unable to do that.  Day 3 we hit all the same spots plus more but could only muster the 2 bites for the day.

We had a great trip and had a lot of laughs with Larry, Dan, Johnnie and Dave.  Good group of guys.  We are looking forward to next year and returning to the mighty Misissippi for one more crack at taking back the title of World Walleye Champions.

The bite on Erie had be fantastic until all the wind we enjoyed in Wisconsin the last few days finally made its way to OH.  It has been ripping there but as soon as we get some calm conditions things will be back on.

9-9-11 - Hope everyone had a good Labor Day.  After a temp jump for the holiday weekend it has returned to our comfortable fall temps we have been enjoying for the second half of the summer.  Won't be long and the fall walleye bite will be going.  Not a whole lot going on on the western end of the lake and after the big winds we had this past week it will take a couple of days for things to straighten up and should send the signal to the fish in the east that it is time to head back for the fall.  Added the Mercury videos to the videos page.

8-17-11 - After a scorcher of a July we are now getting fall like temps in the middle of August.  Crazy!  Check out our Mercury Marine videos at Merc Films and log on and leave us a comment.  http://www.mercfilms.com/users/entries/47309330  We love our Mercury motors!

We are getting ready to order one of our 2012 boats.  If you would like to get a great deal on a lightly used boat that you get to pick all the options colors on then get a hold of us.  We sold both of our 2011's this way and Ken and Aaron are getting ready to pick up their new rigs.  We have one of the 2012's spoken for so if you are thinking about this get with us soon.

Hope everyone gets to spend some time outdoor's during the remainder of the summer and fall months.

8-7-11 - Hard to think we are heading into the second week of August after this weekend.  Not sure where the summer has gone but not much that can be done about it.  Have been watching the MWC tournaments the last few weeks and looking hard at the points to see if we are going to need to go fish another tournament in order to try to improve our points positin to make it into the 2012 MWC Championship.  From what we can tell at this point it looks like we should make it in without any problems.  We will continue to study the points but have sort of turned our focus to starting to think about the 2011 Championship coming up in October in Prairie du Chien WI on the Mississippi River.  Dan and Larry had a good tournament at Bay de Noc this weekend and locked in their spot for the 2012 Championship while also earning All American status on the NTC side of the event.  Good job guys!  We got to spend yesterday with our friend Hutch from WI fishing on Erie Saturday the 6th.  Check out the fishing reports page.

7-15-11 - It looks like the weather has decided what it is going to do and that is to get HOT!  Starting Sunday or Monday highs in the 90's for the next 10-14 days is the forecast.  Guess it is that time of the year.  A couple of new fish pictures and also a fishing report update.  Stay cool and drink plenty of fluids!
6-15-11 - The weather just can't decide what it wants to do around here.  We get a few hot days and things start to turn around and then it goes right back to feeling like spring or fall with cool temps and rain.  Sure there will be a time later this year when we will be begging for some rain and cooler temps but as of right now we could do without anymore of it for a while.  Updated fishing reports and added a fish picture.

5-22-11 - The weather finally gave us a little bit of a break with some warmer temps and calm winds.  The bite stayed tough in OH waters but we were able to fish Canadian waters for the MWC and ended up finishing in 8th place.  We had good fish to finish where we did but we weren't able to get any kicker fish to really push our weight up there.  We averaged over 7 pounds a fish for the 10 fish but our biggest fish of the 2 days was only about 8.5 pounds.  That's the way it goes.  We only dropped one fish the two days that we think would have been an upgrade for us and that was day 2 at about 2:40.  More details on the fishing reports page.

Couple of observations from the last 4 days on the water.  There are still a ton of fish in the western basin.  The marks on Wednesday from Taco Bell to Niagara were nothing short of amazing.  There were times that there had to be 50-70 fish on the Humminbird units.  It was really amazing that we could pull lures through there an not get a bite.  The fish we did end up catching showed obvious signs of wounds and cuts which I have to believe came from the terrible winds we had while they were spawning.  I can't remember ever seeing such a large percentage of them looking like that.

My thoughts are that as soon as we get stable weather and warming water the islands are going to be great fishing for a good stretch of time.

5-14-11 - Really wish there was some great news to pass along but in reality the bite at the lake has continued to be very tough.  Last week's FLW saw some very big weights come in but in general it was very tough for most.  Congrats to Jeff Graves for the win and to Shawn Ritchey for his 5th place finish.  Two really good guys that put it all together.

Also congrats to Mike and Bud for their LEWT win yesterday.  They brought over 42 lbs in including one over 11.  Good job guys!

Looks like mother nature is not done yet with this tough spring.  We lost today and tomorrow to the wind for prefishing and not certain yet about Tuesday.  Sooner or later things are going to straighten up and the bite will be great.  (at least we can hope!)

4-23-11 - Added a few pics into the fish album from prefishing at Detroit.  One shows the detroit landscape in the back ground, pretty neat setting.  The other 2 are just nice lake fish.

Quick story from Detroit last week.  We stopped Friday at the bait shop right around the corner from Elizabeth Park Ramp and when we walked in the door the first thing we saw was a framed and signed copy of our cover from last year's MWC book.  Gotta say it is pretty neat to see our ugly mug's displayed like that and brought back some good memories for sure.  After talking to the man working we remembered him being at the weigh in last year and telling us he was going to frame that and put it in his shop after we signed it.

4-18-11 - What a weekend for wind!  It has been a while since we have seen wind like that for 3 straight days.  Made for an interesting tournament for sure.  The river gave up some amazing bags with over 43 pounds winning the tourney.  We had a fun week prefishing with some new people and also some old friends.  Will be getting some pictures posted up as soon as we can.  looking ahead to The LEWT on 4-30 and then getting ready to start prefishing for the Sandusky MWC event.  Check out the fishing reports page.

4-2-11 - Spring Valley is behind us and it doesn't seem right but Detroit River is just down the road.  The fish at Lake Erie are just starting to go and within the next week should really be cranking to say the least.  Just need a little bit of warm weather and it will be on.  We got the Verado broke in on Dan's boat this past weekend so it is ready to go for the year also.  Been getting things ready in the boats for the first big water event of the year.  We can't wait.  Check out the fishing reports page for a report on our four days on the IL River.

3-14-11 - What a difference a week makes!  After yet another snow storm late last week it is finally starting to feel like soft water time.  Had a great open house at Vic's over the weekend.  Turn out was exceptional and the highlight had to be getting to meet and chat with Forrest Wood, founder of Ranger Boats.  What a down to earth guy he was.  We enjoyed getting to chat with him and hearing some of his stories.  That alone was well worth it as I am sure many of those in attendance would agree.  See the pictures in the fishing activities section.  Was also good to see Mike and Bridget and spend some time chatting after dinner at East Park.  Spring Valley is next up on the calender for us.  Right now it looks like we could be in store for a very good bite.  The water is dropping and set to drop below flood stage in the next couple of days and no substantial rain in the forecast at this point.  We will be praying that stays that way.  Can't wait to get back on the river and do some fishing.  We will keep you posted.
3-6-11 - Spring is getting closer even if we do have fresh snow on the ground this morning.  Got Dan's boat rigged up this weekend and he is chomping at the bit to get that 300 Mercury Verado on the water to see what it will do.  It looks real good with all the equipment on it and ready to hit the soft water.  Added a picture of the Humminbird 1198 mounted on the dash with the Berts Custom Tackle mount.  This is the first 1100 series unit we have had and it is a BIG machine for sure.  3 weeks from today we will be finishing up the first MWC event of the year at Spring Valley.
2-26-11 - Sorry for going MIA.  Work has been extra crazy and with the winter weather not a whole lot has been going on to be quite honest.  Had a short trip to TN to fish the Cumberland River for some sauger.  Was a good weekend with fish caught while still learning that water system.  Picked up Dan's Ranger 621 this week and began the rigging process for that.  Will not take long to have it ready for the water.  It looks great with the 300 Mercury Verado on the back.  Can't wait to get it out for a ride!  We will be at Vic's Open House on March 12-13.  Forrest Wood will be in attendance so a neat opportunity to see and meet on eof the legends in boat building and fishing in general.  Hope to see some of you there.
1-3-11 - Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  It seems odd to say it is 2011.  Guess time flies when you are having fun.  A new year can only mean one thing, boat show season.  Cleveland kicks things off in a couple of weeks.  Dan will be doing a seminar on 1-15 in the afternoon.  The exact schedule for all the speakers can be found by clicking on the link on the events page.  The events page is updated with our schedule for 2011.  Not much to report in the way of fishing.  We are just enjoying winter and getting tackle ready to go for a good year in 2011.  Stay warm!

12-4-10 - It looks like winter has arrived in full force.  One day above freezing for the next 10 days might just bring an end to the Erie soft water season.  The bite has continued to be great over the last few weeks.  Last weekend Dan had 10 fish over 9 lbs in one day.  Put some new pictures of the first of our 2011 boats on the Fishing Activities page.

11-13-10 - 70 degrees in the middle of November.  Nothing to do except go fishing and that's what we did today.  With this weeks weather we knew it would be on.  Granted it took a few days longer for them to really get going than most people thought but the wait was well worth it.  Check out the fishing reports for more details.

We are working right now on our winter schedule and will have all the details for that here shortly.  Stay tuned as we will be updating the events page here in the near future.

The first of our 2011 Ranger 621's is here and the Mercury motor got broken in today on our fishing trip.  Felt good to be out on the water in a new Ranger.  Will be getting pics up of the new boat in the next week or so.

10-19-10 - I forgot to mention a Thanks to Rob and Anna and the Chuck and Steve and their wives for coming to the weigh in at the Championship.  It is always nice to have some familiar faces in the crowd especially when you are that far away from home.  Wish we could have given them something to chear about but that is the way it goes.

Sounds like the fish are starting to go off Huron if the weather will just cooperate it will be on.

10-17-10 - On our way back from the Championship.  Another year of fishing ther MWC is done.  The internet connection was not as we had planned so it made updating not feasible.  We finished the tournament in 15th place.  Everything about this trip was great except for the fishing for us.  We had a blast with our teammates and the accomodations were out of this world to say the least.  Congrats to Johnnie Candle and Dave Noble as they are the 2010 MWC World Walleye Champions.

We just never really got much going on the river as it was changing so much everyday.  We caught a few keepers most everyday of practice but the three days of the event the river really changed and we weren't able to stay ahead of the moving fish.  We opted to stay in the lower pool to maximize the fishing time and not have to deal with the locks and wasted time of doing that.  For our teammates there was a mixed bag of results.  Greg and Jeff locked up each day and ended up finishing third.  Dan and Larry had some unfortunate bad luck on day one and did not make it back to weigh in after having a good day of fishing and Scott and Jeff struggled like we did.

If anyone is ever in Prairie du Chein WI and wants a very unique place to stay check out the Duck Inn Lodge.  The Yeoman family has an unbelievable place there to stay. If you are out that way and want an enjoyable day on the water get ahold of Tim Hutchinson at www.riverwalleyes.com.  "Hutch" has been a great friend to us the times we have been out there and knows that river better then most people know their house.

9-26-10 - The Mississippi continues to rise and is completely flooded right now.  Hopefully it quits raining and the river drops back to normal prior to our arrival.  Added a fishing report and a picture in the fish pictures folder.

9-21-10 - The leaves are beginning to turn and the calender says it is fall but the temps lately don't line up quite right.  We are getting our Indian summer it appears.  We have been getting things ready to defend our MWC World Walleye Championship next month.  The Mississippi has been running high with a lot of weeds so it could be an interesting tournament to say the least.  We are gonna go out there and do our best and see what happens.  Think both of us are looking forward to getting back to fishing one last time before the second of the 2010 Ranger's head down the road to the new owner.(I know he has been looking forward to the pick up date for quite some time.)

No real fishing report to update the reports page as the wind has been blowing for almost 3 weeks now and fishing is tough.  Some night fish have been caught around the islands so it is almost time for that bite to explode.

Will try to update this as we are prefishing at the championship to keep people posted on what is going on.  Alway's seems like there is never enough time to get everything done but since we are only taking one boat to this event might be a little easier to make happen.  Who know's maybe we can even get some live update from the river if the weather cooperates.

8-28-10 - Schools back in and the summer is coming to an end quickly.  Hard to believe for sure.  Only up side to it is some of the best fishing of the year is still to come.  Updates in the fishing reports page and some new pictures.  The LEWT 2 day championship is our next event and want to wish Dan and Larry good luck at the MWC Bay de Noc tourney as they travel north to try to claim the MWC Team of the Year award.  Would be great to see them pull it off and have the title "stay in the family" so to say since we won it in 2009.

Getting ready to order the first of our 2011 model Ranger boats so if anyone is looking for a great deal and to get to pick your colors and options get a hold of us and we can talk.  Boats will be available for pick up in the fall of 2011.

If anyone is looking to fish a real fun event that is for a great cause check into the Gaston Memorial Tournament on Brookville Lake in Indiana.  Google it and you will get the website.

8-10-10 - Back from Saginaw and a frustrating bite up there.  More about that on the fishing reports page.  We did what we needed for points to get us into the championship throught the challenge so all in all a good trip.  Congrats to Larry and Dan on winning the Team of the Year for the East Division.  They are going to Bay de Noc to try to win the overall TOY award so that our team can keep a hold of it for another year.  Just when you think it can't get any hotter it does with high's in the mid to upper 90's here this week.  We'll remember this the first time we have to shovel snow!

We had an incedible turn out at the fishing clinic at Au Gres.  We gave out 81 fishing rods and that wasn't even half of the kids that were there.  Wish we could have gotten one to everyone but that is the way it goes.  The turn out showed what a large part the outdoors and fishing play in those people's lives.  Was great to see that much participation.

7-24-10 - What an odd summer we are having.  Has to be one of the hottest on record but yet we contniue to get lots of rain so the yard, corn and beans just continue to grow.  Usually by now the yard only needs mowed about every 2 weeks to knock down the weeds but not this year!  New fishing report and a fish picture of Dan and his daughter Taylor.
7-13-10 - Updates to the fish pictures page and the fishing reports.
7-9-10 - HOT, HOT, HOT!!  That pretty much explains the weather.  Not a whole lot new here.  Added some pictures to the fish and fishing activites pages.  Hope you like them.  Getting things ready for Saginaw for the final MWC East event of 2010.  Check out the fishing reports page for an update.

6-20-10 - Happy Fathers Day to all.  Another MWC event in the books.  After a bad first day we salvaged the tournament, and even cashed a check, by bringing in the second largest bag on day 2.  The fishing on day 2 was out of this world and we new we had a good bag when 6 pound 14 oz fish were not upgrading for us and we were turning them back.  Posted some new pictures from last week and also a new fishing report.  Great to see Ed and Pat from Dunkirk at the weigh in Saturday.  Hope you enjoyed your stay in the walleye capital.

After spending the last week in the new boats we continue to be blown away by the performance of the Ranger 621 and the Mercury Pro XS 250.  There were a couple of days that the weather was nothing short of nasty and it was great to be in this rig for that.  The boat handles anything that the lake can throw at it and the motors power gives you total control to do what needs done in rough water.  Everyone that fishes in it is blown away to say the least.  This was the first rough water it had seen and while we expected it to perform exactly as it did we wanted to wait until we experienced it ourselves before reporting on it.  If anyone wants a trst ride just get in touch and we'll make it happen.

6-13-10 - Where does the time go?  Been busy as usual and getting things around for the MWC event this weekend.  Update on the fishing reports page and also a picture of Mike D and his 13.5 pounder caught last weekend with Dan.  Was good to spend some time on the water with Minnesota Joe L., Mike D and Rick.  Thanks for coming up guys, it was a blast.
5-23-10 - After what seems like a whole month of wet and cold weather it looks like we are in store for a nice stretch of dry warm weather through the holiday weekend.  Fishing has been up and down.  Check out the fishing reports page for recent reports.  Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend and gets out to do some fishing.
5-10-10 - Not a whole lot new here.  Hope everyone had a great Mothers Day!  Weather has been acting up some with more variability on the way it looks like.  Hope to get out and get some fishing in this weekend around the LEWT tournament.  Updated some pictures on the Fishing Activities page and the fishing reports page.
5-2-10 - Boy is time flying.  At this rate it feels like we are going to blink and it will be the end of summer.  Gator Classic is history and while the field was small the competition level was unreal.  Congrats to Jason Kopf for pulling a big bag today to come from behind and win it.

4-18-10 - WOW!  The new boats are great to say the least.  The handle and fishability are exactly what we had hoped they would be and could not be happier.  Can't wait to spend some more time in them.  Our 35th place finish at the MWC Detroit River event was not what we had hoped it would be but none the less it was still an OK points finish so we are not complaining.  We needed a couple of better fish one of the days and we could have moved up quite a bit but we just never got the right bites.  That's fishing!  Congrats to our good friends Dan Johnson and Larry Rhoades on their sixth place finish.  Job well done!  Added some pictures to the Fishing Activities page from the NPAA kids clinic and to the Fish page.  Check out the blade on that spinner, pretty neat one from Dutch Fork.

Had a couple of people ask for some details from our prefishing adventures and some of the thought processes that go into that.  Our first day of fishing was Sunday the 11th.  We had some friends join us for prefishing and caught fish fairly well down by Luna Pier.  Nothing especially large but a good start none the less.  Dan fished Tuesday with Keith from Dutch Fork Custom Lures and were limited to the river because of the strong east winds.  It was tough day for them.  Wednesday Dan was on the lake with Keith while Matt fished by himself.  Both boats caught fish and Matt found some better quality fish that looked to be the right ones for the tournament.  Thursday Rob fished with Matt while Dan was by himself.  Dan had a good day while Matt just never could get the fish going very well.  Friday was back to the river as Dan went with Larry and Dan J. while Matt and Frank drove up from Port Clinton to fish with Matt.  Unfortunately Matt's string of bad days continued while the other boat had a pretty good day on the river.

This was a very interesting prefishing as there were daily weather forecast changes that had us wondering where we should be spending our time prefishing and the water color was changing and causing the fish to move with it so it was a challenge to stay on the fish on the lake.  The ultra clean water of the river also took handlining out of the question so that was not a good thing for us.  All in all not our best tournament by any means but that is how it goes.

Below is a picture of our home away from home for the last week.

4-10-10 - The new boats are here and we were able to get them wet today!  We spent most of last night rigging and thanks to Ricks help were were able to get them both ready to go.  We posted up 5 pics of them on the fishing activities page.  We broke the motors in today and are going to get a day of fishing in tomorrow.  Can't wait to spend some more time in them.  We also updated the fishing reports page.  Good luck to all if you can get out.

4-6-10 - Looks like we skipped spring and have proceeded directly to summer.  No complaints here.  We pick up the new boats on Thursday.  Can't wait!  We will get new pictures up here and some video as we get them rigged.  Can't wait to get them on the water.  Just realized that we never published the fishing reports page.  That is now a page here under the News tab.  Enjoy the reports.

4-2-10 - Weather looks good for the first LEWT of the year this weekend.  Been hearing about a lot of big fish being caught as the water has cleaned up.

3-29-10 - Back from Spring Valley.  We ended up 27th out of 128 teams.  Missed a check by 2 spots but had a good finish for points for our challenge event so a great start to the year.  Will be getting a detailed report of the fishing and the event in general this week as time allows.  Had a technical snafu with the video so no updates on that front.  Will have to get the handline video done at Detroit River.
3-24-10 - Added a new video.

3-21-10 - It is getting slow close to getting back on the water that we can almost feel that first hit of the year.  Fish were caught up at the lake this past week so that is a good sign.  Got the boat all ready to leave for Spring Valley next week.  Ours have not arrived yet so we will be borrowing a boat(THANKS Rick!) for this first event.  Right now weather doesn't look too bad for out there so hopefully they are right and the current and level stay fishable.  Will have some new videos and updates from out there next week also so check back.  If you haven't made it out to wet a line yet now is the time.

3-14-10 - Time to go FISHING!  We had a good weekend at Cabela's in Wheeling even if the weather was not the greatest.  It was great to see some old friends down there and spend some time catching up on things with them.  Keith from Dutch Fork Custom was set up in the store on Sunday and he just continues to amaze us with some of his color combinations.  I think everyone, including us, is sick of talking about fishing and ready to wet a line.  Getting on the water will also allow us to get current fishing info on here along with videos and pictures.  Keep checking back as it is going to get fun here real quick!

3-8-10 - We had a great weekend at Cabelas in Dundee.  It was fun to do a seminar with Jeff and Greg.  Attendance was very good both days and from the feedback we are confident those in attendance enjoyed it and found it to be beneficial.  We are ready to go to Wheeling and talk some more fishing.  Should be a great weekend.  Keep watching for more updates.

3-1-10 - The start of a new month means we are getting close to some open water fishing.  We were at Vic's Sports Center open house over the weekend with very good crowds both days.  It was good once again to get to talk fishing with so many other die hard fisherman.  Seminar attendance was good and really got the feel that most everyone is ready for winter to be gone and to get on the water to chase fish.  We are getting ready for the seminars this weekend at Cabelas in Dundee.  Should be a fun weekend!  Hope to see some of you up there.  They have some pretty good sales going on in addition to a good seminar line up.  Another opportunity to pass the time until open water season.

2-19-10 - Another week down means we are closer to open water season and getting back to fishing.  Updated the Fishing Activities picture page today with a few new ones from our most recent seminar.  Got details confirmed this week for our Cabela's seminars at Wheeling, WV.  If the new boats are in and the weather cooperates we will be taking one of them there to do the seminars out of.  If that happens we will probably have to sneak down to the OH River to tune up our handlining skills.

2-14-10 - Snow, snow and more snow!  We are officially sick of it!  Can only sort tackle so many times before you start wearing it out.  For those that haven't seen the MWC Championship TV show there is now a link on the Media page so you can see the show in its entirety.(Good entertainment for these cold snowy days)  Also confirmed that we will be at the Vic's Sports Center Open house so that was added to the Events page.  Got word this week that the new Church Tackle planner board lights are available.  See the pics of those on the Fishing Activities page.
2-7-10 - The new month sure started on a bad foot with a pretty good snow storm in the central part of OH.  Matt spent the week in Minnesota for work but did get to slip out one afternoon to Mille Lacs to try some ice fishing.  What was hoped to be a chance to get some fresh fish on video didn't turn out so well as no one told the fish!  Oh well, it was good to get out of the hotel for a few hours and catch up with a friend from out there.  It did get me ready to hit the water though!  Hopefully this weather will straighten up and we can get some soft water fishing in prior to Spring Valley.  Stay warm and more updates in the works.
1-31-10 - What a way to finish up a busy monthWe had great groups at both of the WBSA seminars today.  It was great to get to talk fishing and the questions from the group were very good.  Thanks to everyone that made the trip and to Travis for letting us join him in doing these.  Posted a couple of new videos on the site so check out the videos page to see those.  Have another one that I will try to get on there in the next day or two.
1-28-10 - Winter is back in OH!  Lows close to zero tonight they are saying which makes it hard to think about open water fishing.  Reminder about the WBSA seminar this Sunday at Bass Pro in Toledo.  Should be fun and it is always interesting to hear Travis talk.  We will be adding some more videos after this weekend.  Stay warm.
1-23-10 - Updated each of the picture pages.

1-20-10 - Thanks for all the positive feedback on the first couple of videos.  We have been talking about the next ones we will be doing and will be working on those in the next week or so and will continue to get them on here.  If there is a topic you would like to see covered just drop us a line and we'll see what we can do.

Reminder that Dan will be doing a seminar at the Cleveland Boat Show on Saturday at 6 PM.

1-18-10 - We added a Video page under the Media tab and put two short clips on there of the Ranger 621.  Check them out to see what we will be fishing out of in 2010.  Look for more videos to be added in the future.
1-17-10 - Saturday was a great day at the boat show and we are getting ready for today.  The traffic was very good with a lot of people visiting the booth and our seminar was almost standing room only.  The hour and a half flew by with a lot of questions from the crowd which is always good.

1-16-10 - The beginning of the boat show season is upon us.  We will be in Cleveland the next 2 weekends and will be doing some seminars while we are there for Vic's Sports Center and Ranger Boats.  To check out the seminar schedule for the whole show go to our events page.

Our chat from WC is now online and you can read it here.  Hope you enjoy it.

1-13-10 - Boy does an hour go by fast when you start talking fishing.  We had a blast doing the WC chat.  Have already received some follow up emails from it so if you have any questions just let us know.

1-11-10 - Here is a link for the chat Wednesday night on Walleye Central.  Click here.

We wanted to take a minute and talk about the NPAA meeting from this past weekend.  We would recommend to anyone involved in fishing, and especially tournaments, to take a look at this organization.  They are doing a lot of good things to help insure we all get to keep enjoying the sport we love.  The price might seem a little high at first look but there really are some good sources of information in the membership and can tell you from experience that these guys are willing to talk to other members and give you advice on a variety of topics if you ask.  Not that it should be the reason for joining at all but their are some very good discount programs available to members that most guys would easily save what the cost to join would be with just normal purchases in a year.  The annual meeting was very informative with a lot of good information that I think most everyone would benefit from.  On top of the information it is a great way to make contacts with industry people.  Click here for a link to their website.  Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

1-11-10 - We just returned from the NPAA meeting in Minneapolis.  It was a good meeting and was nice to catch up with the other anglers and the MWC staff.  More details and a picture or two to come on that later.

Need to take a second and thank Talia for helping us get the website up and running and for all the time she has spent researching some of the things we are looking to do with it.  We had a good meeting while in MN with her and look forward to adding new things as we move foward.

1-8-10 - In preperation of our chat next Wednesday at 8 PM eastern on Walleye Central here is a link to a "20 questions" article that Juls did.  We will put a link up for the chat site next week so it will be easier for you to get to it.  CLICK HERE for the article.  Have a good one!

1-3-10 - Hard to believe it is 2010.  Thanks to everyone that has provided feedback on the site.  We appreciate it and if there is anything you would like to see or have questions about just drop us a line.  We will be doing a live chat on Walleye Central on Jan. 13 at 8 PM eastern time for anyone that would like to jump on and ask questions or just follow along as we take questions from the participants and talk fishing.  We're looking forward to it and will get a link on here prior to make it easy to find.

12-31-09 - Launched fspromos.com  We are excited to get this out on the web and look forward to keeping you updated on what is going on with us, providing fishing reports and also information on products to help you catch more fish.  We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
